This would’ve been perfect as either the main event or co-main event, and stylistically it had all the makings of a great scrap. You hardly ever see a boring Paulo Costa fight If Ankalaev vs Costa for the interim light heavyweight title was also on the card though, I think you could’ve made a real argument for Silva vs Cong headlining. Either way, adding both fights would’ve made UFC 332 feel significantly stronger and much more worthy of a major numbered card. Vallejos is riding a ton of momentum, while Murphy is coming off his first career loss in a title eliminator against Movsar Evloev. It would’ve been the perfect opportunity for Vallejos to prove he belongs among the division’s elite, while giving Murphy a chance to immediately bounce back against one of featherweight’s fastest rising names. I wanna keep this fight because it definitely belongs on this card but it’s not a co-main event. I do think however it is perfect for the second fight of the main card. Absolute bangerrrrr.
