The UFC will return to Toronto on Jan. 30, 2027, with UFC 336 headed to Scotiabank Arena. The promotion revealed the date and venue during the UFC Edmonton broadcast.
The event will be the eighth numbered UFC card held in Toronto. It also marks the company's first show in the city since January 2024, when Dricus du Plessis captured the middleweight title with a split-decision win over Sean Strickland.
That card gave Toronto one of its most notable title changes. Du Plessis took the belt in a tightly contested five-round fight, and the result reshaped the middleweight division heading into the following year.
No bouts have been announced for UFC 336 yet. The main event, co-main event and the rest of the lineup remain to be revealed, with the card still more than three months away from the announcement.
Why it matters
- Toronto returns to the UFC calendar after a gap of nearly three years, giving Canadian fans a numbered event in a market that has regularly hosted major cards.
- The Jan. 30 date opens 2027 with a pay-per-view-level show, and the headliner will set the tone for the early-year title picture.
- Scotiabank Arena has a history of hosting significant moments, including the 2024 middleweight title change, which raises the bar for what the promotion may book.
With the date and venue now set, attention turns to which fighters will be placed on the card. Matchmaking for UFC 336 is expected to take shape in the coming weeks as bouts are finalized and announced.
