Alex Pereira said he is afraid to step back into the Octagon after witnessing the severe lacerations on the back of Andre Fili's head sustained in his fight against Vinicius Oliveira. Oliveira landed heavy elbow strikes to Fili's head throughout the bout, which was refereed by Herb Dean.
