When you're staring down a potential pink slip, every second in that cage matters. The matchup itself is fascinating because both guys are scrambling to save their UFC careers. Petroski's a switch stance fighter out of Renzo Gracie Philly who can mix things up, but he's been getting caught lately. Before those two losses, he was putting together solid wins, including that dominant performance against Dylan Budka where he landed 78 strikes at 72% accuracy. Brundage showed he's still got power when he flatlined Julian Marquez in the first round back in March 2025, landing 68 of 106 strikes before getting the finish.

Here's the thing though. Both guys are fighting desperate, and desperate fighters either come out swinging for the fences or crumble under the pressure. Petroski's got the grappling pedigree and can work from both stances, but Brundage has proven he can crack when he connects clean. This feels like whoever can impose their game first and avoid the other guy's power is walking out with their roster spot intact.
