UFC Record Breakdown
Fatima Kline just got a whole new challenge. She was supposed to run it back with Amanda Ribas in Oklahoma City, but Ribas pulled out and now Tabatha Ricci steps in on short notice. UFC just named Kline one of their 2026 breakout fighters to watch, and this is her chance to prove they're right. Ricci's coming off a tough loss to Virna Jandiroba in April where she got outworked over three rounds, so she's hungry to get back in the win column. Here's what makes this interesting.
If Kline finds her range early or Ricci drags her into the clinch, someone's getting hurt in rounds two or three.
Kline's been on an absolute tear at strawweight with three straight finishes. That head kick knockout of Melissa Martinez in Nashville was nasty, and the way she ground and pounded Viktoriia Dudakova with elbows from half guard showed she's dangerous everywhere. Ricci's no slouch though. When she's on, she's dangerous in the clinch. That elbow knockout of Amanda Ribas last July in Abu Dhabi was brutal, and she's got solid striking volume when she gets going.
The big question is whether Ricci can close distance and make this ugly in the clinch, or if Kline picks her apart at range. Kline landed 95 strikes in that Martinez fight and her kickboxing from MK Muay Thai is clean. Ricci's been hit or miss with her output. Against Yan Xiaonan she only landed 17 strikes the whole fight, but against Angela Hill she put up 94. If Ricci shows up tentative, Kline's gonna light her up.
